Simcut
Hi Silva We dont swap music on this site, so please dont ask for a copy of it. It might be something from this vinyl release http://www.discogs.com/Marc-van-der-Vlugt-...s/release/93863 I'm thinking Avatar - Machine Life, Avatar being a guise of Marc vdV
silva
Thanks mate, but I'm not after a swap. I'm pretty sure it's not Machine Life through my research, just simply knowing if anyone has any definitive info on it. Cheers
Tremor
Looks a quality mix this... Mark van der vlugt.... sounds familiar from other set lists around this time... I will download now and have a listen.. see if I can match it with something from another set... will post back shortly
Tremor
Hmm no luck Im afraid. The same tune is definitely in the set from Foundation in Newcastle: see here - Track 16 - I have just listened to both to confirm this. and same track info appears in the set from Code on the 15/12/00 but unfortunately there is no track name available on any of the tracklists in the archives . Tremor
I did just find this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Machine-Life-Origi.../ref=dm_ap_trk7 It's a tune called machine life by avatar... there's a short sample but I dont think this is the right tune either. FuzzY-LogiC
thanks for bringing this up, it made me realize we have spelled the artist wrongly all these years :| it's supposed to be 'Marc van der Vlugt', not 'Mark van der Klught' as in the TL archives. That error has been fixed now Tremor: regarding the Avatar tune... it could be the 'Dub Mix' featured on the 'Atomic Powder' compilation as mentioned in this thread here: http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archive...74&hl=vlugt
Chewbs
First half of this mix I found a bit sort of 'masculine' but picked up when Three Drives come in, I started to feel the depth more...think it needs a few more blastings in the car.. FuzzY-LogiC
Thanks to mitchmix99 we have now updated this with 42minutes of audio, spanning track 9 - 15 making this 70minutes in total (track 9-22)! Enjoy!
Quadrant
First half of this mix I found a bit sort of 'masculine' but picked up when Three Drives come in, I started to feel the depth more...think it needs a few more blastings in the car.. I disagree with this Chewbs! They are wonderful examples of Jules's excellent choice of crossover tracks back in the day. The 'Extek' track for example starts from almost nothing, but it just builds and builds with layers and layers and layers of percussion.... that's depth. Absolutely magnificent start to the half hour mix!
FuzzY-LogiC
Excellent 30 minute mix here... I completely forgot the quality of this one! I have to agree with Quadders regarding the start track, it's perfect for a long build-up and really has a good drive. 18. Oliver Klein - 'Rheinkraft' (Ian Wilkie Remix) [b Sides] 19. Three Drives - 'Sunset On Ibiza' [Massive Drive] 20. Nevada - 'Touched By The Hand' [bonzai UK] Three of my favorite tracks of that time nicely mixed into one stream of pure awesomeness
Neuro
Jules ruled those three tracks completely, they will always go together for me. He did another mix of them here if anyone's interested - a tiny download but worth it: http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?showtopic=3430
mitchmix99
Just realised I've listened to this on my shuffle (mostly the last 30 minutes) about 10 times today. Love it...

There's just sssoooo much to get through and ofcourse - being in the mood....at the moment I'm listening to ..er...singing music 'cos with the crap going down at work my spirits need lifting before I get there! Neuro
Just updating this thread, Track 17 previously believed to the Marc Van der Vlugt is now ID'd by Agassi here as: 17. Synchro 'Elektrik' [Liquid Audio Soundz]
Spin Doctor
Outstanding mix from Jules. Such a a shame the recording is incomplete. I find it really interesting how DJs can iconically link tunes to thier own identity when they aren't involved in production. Nevada - Touched By The Hand is certainly one such tune in my mind for Jules. Synchro - 'Elektrik' [Liquid Audio Soundz]; Do we have any other examples of Jules spinning Psy-Trance? 16 is "Supernova E.P." not "Supanova E.P."
